Two Years old!

Yesterday was little Brayden's second birthday! To celebrate the occasion Rachel & Bryan had a little family party at their house with my mom, grandma, grandpa, aunt Pam, my dad, and myself ....Ok and Brayden.. obviously :)

We all ate lunch and then let Brayden open up his presents (which he tried to break into a few times)

He had a lot of fun opening up all this presents!

After presents we ate some cake! Rachel got the cake out and started serving it on plates, then before we knew it, Brayden was on the table helping himself to the cake! Shortly after I put him in his high chair so he could make a mess.. which he did.

I know this picture is a bit fuzzy, but I thought it was cool!

Mothers Day!

Today was the celebration for all the Lovely Mothers in the world!
To celebrate the day I went to my mom's house in the afternoon, brought her some flowers, chocolate, lotion, and a Ice cream cake!
Then Rachel, Bryan, and Brayden came over and we cooked my mom some homemade hamburgers and sat outside and ate them in the 80 degree weather, it felt so good outside!
My mom's other requested activity was too make bracelet's, so she made herself a bracelet as we watched a movie together!

Here are a few pictures of the wonderful day!

My Mom and her good friend Amy!

My cute brother and I

Brayden had fun watering the flowers and jumping on the tramp with his uncle Natey!

Brayden reaching out for a hug...Or asking for some help off the tramp :)

This is my favorite picture of the day!

TV Face..

Do you have a "TV Face"? The other day I was watching Disney's "Cars" with my little nephew Brayden, granted this is his FAVORITE Movie. Any time anyone goes close to the TV or changes the channels he automatically thinks we are going to watch "Cars" (Yes, I have seen it more than ten times). So he always gets So excited and shouts and dances around to watch "Cars"... anyways back to the story. While we were watching "Cars" Brayden was sitting on the couch by himself and I noticed his "TV Face". So I grabbed my phone and took of picture of him to capture the precious mummified, intense face.

After I took this picture... I started collecting his "TV Face" pictures.

Here are a few more!

Here are a few ways he likes to watch TV.

I'm Free! . . . . for now

The Fall semester of school is finally over!! It is like a weight off of my shoulder (until next semester)
My last final was on Wednesday, it was my math final, I have struggled with Math my whole life, so I was a bit worried about it, my teacher posted grades Friday and I found out I did good on the final! I was ever SO happy!
Last Saturday was the first Saturday I was able to do... NOTHING, I didn't have to worry about studying and homework. I was able to wake up, exercise, watch a movie with my mom, read outside and just relax! The weather was so wonderful yesterday, I got a blanket and just laid on the lawn for a hour and read my book while the wind softly blew.

Right now I feel like going on vacation to places like these:

Wouldn't we all though!

Another wonderful thing that has happen last week was my Father arrived in Cedar City last Thursday! It was a wonderful feeling to reunite with him again after not seeing him for over 3 months! Now I can drive down to Cedar in 45 minutes whenever I want to go see him instead of flying down to Florida!

So for the next two weeks I will be working full time and enjoying my evening!!

Woman vs. Man

WIFE VS. HUSBAND
A couple drove down a country road for several miles, not saying a word.
An earlier discussion had led to an argument and
neither of them wanted to concede their position.

As they passed a barnyard of mules, goats, and pigs,
the husband asked sarcastically, 'Relatives of yours?'
'Yep,' the wife replied, 'in-laws.

WORDS
A husband read an article to his wife about how many words women use a day...30,000 to a man's 15,000.
The wife replied, 'The reason has to be because we have to repeat everything to men...
The husband then turned to his wife and asked, 'What?'

The Silent Treatment
A man and his wife were having some problems at home and were giving each other the silent treatment.

Suddenly, the man realized that the next day, he would need his wife to wake him at 5:00 AM for an early morning business flight.
Not wanting to be the first to break the silence (and LOSE), he wrote on a piece of paper,
'Please wake me at 5:00 AM ' He left it where he knew she would find it.

The next morning, the man woke up, only to discover it was 9:00 AM and he had missed his flight Furious, he was about to go and see why his wife hadn't wakened him, when he noticed a piece of paper by the bed.
The paper said, 'It is 5:00 AM Wake up.
Men are not equipped for these kinds of contests.

Whats "Normal"...

What is does it mean to be "Normal".. Well according too Wikipedia.. behavior, normal refers to a lack of significant deviation from the average. The phrase "not normal" is often applied in a negative sense (asserting that someone or some situation is improper, sick, etc.). Abnormality varies greatly in how pleasant or unpleasant this is for other people; somebody may half-jokingly be called "pleasantly disturbed".

The Oxford English Dictionary defines "normal" as 'conforming to a standard'. This, although almost right, is not entirely correct. "A normal" is someone who conforms to the ideals of society. This can be for any number of reasons, ranging from the positive (genuine admiration for and acceptance of society's standard, for example) to the negative (fear of humiliation, fear of rejection, fear of being thought mad).

So.. what kinds of "things" are normal ... going out with friends, eating peanut butter with a spoon, playing Nintendo for hours, sneezing 5 times in a row, driving with with your music blasting..

What about things like:
(These are actually things someone I know does..)
  • Brushing teeth with hand soap
  • Brushing teeth with Dishwasher detergent
  • Freezing candy corn
  • Making cookies with pancake mix
  • Making dinner while singing "Hit me baby one more time"
  • Eating salad covered in "spray butter"
  • Asking questions like "You don't want go to the mall, correct?"
  • .
  • .

If there are any other "Normal" things you want to add to my list, just leave a comment and let me know.
