Opps... I did it again

So last night after work I was hanging with some buddies at Mike's and Jared's home, then around 9:20 I decided I should  probably go home, do my homework and get ready for bed since I had to wake up at 6 to be to work by 7.  I gather all my belongings, said my good byes, and walk to my house.  I pulled out my keys then I screamed a little and proceeded to walk back to their house.

A few previous days ago I was driving and my house key suddenly fell off my key chain.. I shrugged my shoulders and said "Its okay, I use my garage opener to get in my house".  So yes needless to say.. there was no key to get into my house.  I then texted my room mate too see when she would be home, she said in like 30 minutes, so while I waited I watched another episode of the very comical TV show "Weeds".  I ended up getting too bed Way later than I would of liked and didn't really get my home work done.  But  hey, on the flip side I got to spend valuable time with my friends :)

Yes, my title does say "again", because this is the second time I have done it in the past two weeks... geeze!

So my plan of action is too leave a key at their house!

WOW, look at the good I do!

"A New Decor"

Last Saturday I drag three of my buddies out and we went shopping! First we started of by going to TJ Max, then Target, then a break for lunch at Red Robin, then to Roberts, then to Office Max, and Finally to Pier 1.  Yes, we were all very tired near the end of the 4 hour long escapade, but it was worth it!

I have been looking for new home decor items and found a few at Target and Pier 1!!
I decided that my house colors are Teal and dark chocolate brown, and I found this vase and I had to have it! It was from Pier 1, so it was a bit more money then I would usually spend on something like this, but it matched perfectly so I had to have it!

Here it is!

This is another hot item I really liked from Pier 1!

I am having my designers come over in a few days to help me do some decorating, then I will take some pictures!

Move along, move along

Lately I have been extremely busy, facing up to the new semester at school, working crazy hours to get my full 40, packing, doing homework....yes..packing, I moved once AGAIN! And for the last time for awhile.. well at least a year.  Which brings my total times moved in a year to FIVE. Which is  rather ridiculous in my eyes.

In school I am taking my FINAL four classes I needed to graduate, just with my associates, but its something! I was a bit worried for a while because the last class I needed was full, so I had to jump through a few hoops and got it!  So the four classes I am taking are: Geology, Humanities, Managerial accounting and statistics, its a full load and will keep me super busy.

So back to the moving subject, the place I was in (by my dear friend Katie) was a nice place, but way too expense for me since I did not find a room mate and there where several repairs that STILL needed to be done, after constant reminders from me :D   So now I live in a 3 bedroom 2 bathroom 1357 square feet, equipped with a garage and some SWEET neighbors!  My good friends Mike and Jared told me about the place for rent right next to them, which considering the above details (bigger, cheaper, and garage) I was totally all over that.  I was not in a lease with my other place, so my land lady let me finish up the rest of the month then said Adios!  But the two things I will miss the most is, of course Katie, and my wonderful bathroom, the bathroom had a big, tiled shower, which was a plus!

So last Saturday I got 5 of my strongest male friends (Marshall, Bryan, Mike, Jared and Jason) to come help me move!  We had two trucks and three cars, which was very helpful, so we all made two trips and I made two additional trips a few days later.  Sunday I finished cleaning the old place, Monday I met with my land lady and got my deposit back and now I am officially living in my new place.  Its like a box jungle, you walk in and see boxes, boxes on the table, boxes in the kitchen, boxes in the spare room, boxes in my room... its crazy!

AND! I already found a room mate, its a girl that looked at my other place but didn't really want to pay what I was asking for, but she liked my current place, so that is a BIG lift off my shoulders!  She will probably be moving in within the next week. YAY

So for the next week days... okay okay weeks.  I will be working, going to school, working, going to school, unpacking and doing homework.  Hopefully I will be able to unpack a bit faster than I did last time.. Yes, yes I admit I still had a few unpacked boxes when I moved out of my old place after two months!

As for something interesting that has happened, at work today the power went off around 6:45.  I didn't end up leaving work till about 7:25.  After I left work I found out several blocks were out of power also, including the restaruant I was going to get dinner at.  I was happy to find as I was driving closer to my house I started seeing a few houses with power!
I got da power!

One fell swoop!

So I signed up for all my classes for my last semester to graduate, I had three classes that I was registered for.  I meet with a counselor to make sure I had done everything correctly and found out I was missing one humanities class.  So I went home and found out ALL the classes that I could take were full.  So I emailed a few professors too see if I could add it, I got two replies one said "no, its too full" the other said to come the first day and see if any one dropped the classes.

In the end a few kids did drop the class and I was able too add it! YAY
Which took a big burden off my shoulders thinking I would have to go through another semester just for one class.

Now if I pass all my classes I will be able to graduate in May! YAY

So Christmas morning at 9:00 I went over to my mom's house and we ate some exotic fruits, including star fruit, so I decided to take a picture!

Shortly after all our family members were at the house and we started opening presents!
Here are a few pictures..

A few days ago we wanted to get our family pictures taking.. these are a few of the pictures taken, we were not completely pleased with any of them... so we are going to try again, but here are a few of the OK ones.

St. George snow!

No no.. That is not an oxymoron.. it really did snow! and I have the proof!
Wednesday day it started snowing.. then continued through the night. It was a very exciting time for St. George, since its very rare too even snow.. let alone stick. Thursday was called out as a snow day! So my brother was very excited!

So Wednesday night I was studying for my law final and it was about 11:45pm, i noticed my back porch was very bright, so I thought I left my light on. Then to my surprise it was not my light, it was merely the snow reflecting from the moon. It looked so pretty outside. I went a little picture happy taking pictures of the cool snow. In the pictures you can't tell it was bright out side... but it really was!
So here are a few of the snow pictures!

This was Thursday morning after the snow fell!... then it melted that day :(

This is a picture of the patio furniture on the side of my house

A cup was left out side and I thought it was cool how the snow formed on it!

This is a picture from my moms yard!

The snow made her bushes all limp

So it was a fun experience to have an actual snow day!.. even though I still went to work.

So the semester is over. YAY. I only have one more semester, 4 classes, till I am finished with my associates. Its not much and it seems to be taking forever. I think most people get there associates in 2 - 2 1/2 years. But I am working full time so its taking me a bit longer.. ahh.
It will be so nice when it is over and I can have a break... and just work :P

My sister is in town from California till the 29th, it will be fun to have her here for a while!
Last night her and my dad made some tasty Mexican food!
Well thats all for now folks! have a great weekend!

a GIANT craving!

As a child growing up one of my favorite candy/treats was "gummy bears" and when I came across this video. My heart instantly desired and longed for one.
