Brayden Says...

Yesterday I had my brother Nathan and my nephew Brayden in my car driving over to my mothers house.  After picking up Nate we passed some cows and Brayden said:

"Look at that polk-a-dot horse! It looks like a horse cow"

It made Nate and I laugh so much!

Then Brayden was telling Nate about all the popcorn at my house and he said

"Carie's house is has lots of popcorn right now.  Would you guys rather be rich in money or popcorn, cause I'd rather have lots of popcorn.. or gummy bears."

I told him he's definitely a kid cause I'd Much rather have the money.

Then I asked Brayden what he would think about if I let Nate drive (he's got his permit).  He said:

"Oh no, that's not a very good idea cause I would be scared."

I let Nate drive about half way to my moms... after we got to my mom's Nate asked if Brayden was ok with him driving and he said"

"Yeah, you can drive now since we got to Grandma's house safe!"

Kids do say the funnest things!

July Update

I realized I haven't blogged in a while..

I do have some  big news to announce..

On the 4th of July I got engaged!!

I'm really excited! Ray is an amazing man and I am blessed to have him in my life!

He asked me at our friends house, it was fairly casual, which I like.  As I am not into the cheesy, romantic stuff  :)

We are planning on a summer wedding in May!

Homemade body soap

I found a cool recipe a few weeks ago, on Pinterest!
I loved the idea so I made it!

Here's what you need:

Cheese grater

2 Tablespoons of Liquid Glycerin (found in the band aid section at any drugstore or grocery store)

1 - 8 oz bar of soap

1 gallon of water

Step 1:

Grate the entire bar of soap

Step 2:

Fill a pot with 1 gallon of water and add the soap shavings

Step 3:

Add 2 Tablespoons of liquid glycerin and turn the heat to medium/high for about 20 minutes and stir until the soap dissolves.

Step 4:

This is what it looks like once it's dissolved, basically just soapy water.

Step 5:

Leave it alone to cool for at least 10-12 hours. It begins to cloud up after 3-4 hours

Then you have a gallon of soap that would normally cost $25 - 30 dollars!

Song of the day

This weekend one of my best friends got married!  I was a beautiful wedding and I am glad I was able to be in it!
I helped her with her music, and this is one of my favorite songs I put on her CD.
