Stung by the enemy..

Last night Kyle and I were watching tv.. Modern family. He was laying in my lap, all of a sudden I felt like my arm got Poked by something, like a needle had poked me.  I thought it was some pokey thing on Kyle's shirt, so I checked his shirt and didn't find anything.  So we went back to watching TV and my arm still felt like it was being poked over and over again.

A few minutes later Kyle felt it to.

Then all of a sudden he stood up suddenly and found a scorpion right by us on the couch... talk about Freak out X2.

We've had trouble with finding scorpion's the past few months and we thought it was the end of it.

So me.. being the bravest one... went and grabbed a plastic cup to scoop him up.

Although this picture does not do him justice, this guy was the biggest one we have found so far and happens to be the one we BOTH get stung by.


After I took the picture I immediately flushed him down the toilet.

For the next few hours our arms were numb and stinging. We didn't want to go to bed, as we wanted to make sure we didn't get any serious symptoms.

This morning I am ok... though my arm is still not fully functioning as well. Hopefully it will be better later today.

New Addition.

I recently got a new addition in my life...

My last lap top COMPLETELY DIED. That computer caused me so much stress and trouble and was not working more than it was working.  So I'm glad to have it gone.

My new lap top is a bit smaller, which I like and its much slimmer!!  Yes, my new computer went on a diet, compared to my last one!

So far I am really enjoying it and I'm glad I have a reliable computer again!

Adventure in Dixie rock!

A few days ago I went up to Dixie rock with Rachel and the boys! It was a good day outside so it was fun to take a small hike, though it did sprinkle for a bit, but it was still fun!

Favorite Treat!

One of my favorite treats lately.. well for the past year since they have been open... Is to go to Krave: Self Serving Frozen Yogurt!

They have the most TASTY flavor, Dole Whip PINEAPPLE! I Swear I could eat it all day!  Then my second favored is Cake Batter!  I have got quite a few people addicted to Krave as well, I probably deserve a free one or something  ;)

Rachel, the boys and I go every now and then. I had a buy one get one free, so we went the other day.

Conner surely loves this treat too!

So if you live in St. George and haven't been there yet, I highly recommend it  :)

2nd Birthday

Last week was Conner's 2nd Birthday!!!  We had a family part a few days early.  Here are a few pictures of him and his homemade chocolate cake!

He is such a cute, happy boy and is always enjoyable to be around!

Serenity at the Spa

Have you ever been completely relaxed for 5 hours?!?
I can now officially say YES to that question.

Last week I had 5 hours of heaven, at a SPA! WHOA! I have never been to a spa before, so it was my first experience and it was incredible.

The day started off with lunch at the spa's restaurant. The food was so good! It was a big buffet with lots of choices of healthy food to eat, and the way it was cook.. it was just so good.


Next on my "spa Itinerary" I had something called a "Mountain Glow", where I got scrubbed down with body salt/sugar scrub. After it was done, my body was sooo nice and soft.

Then I had a 45 minute massage. Massages are my favorite, so it was heavenly.

Next I had a Facial, it was my first time having one and I loved it.

Then I got a pedicure, which I almost feel asleep during it, it was so relaxing.

Last, but not least, a manicure.

My whole spa day was a present from someone...

......And so were these  :)

Its almost the weekend!! I'm heading up north for a family gathering, very excited to see everyone!!

The Unwanted visitor.

Two days ago I woke up and saw this on my bathroom wall...

Yeah.. that is a scorpion.


I was pretty freaked out at first, but he was fairly small. I let Bob (Yes, I named him) stay on the wall until I had enough courage to get him out. Since my room mate wasn't home, I had to deal with him by myself!

I finally mustered enough courage and went and got a plastic bottle to go and scoop him off the wall .
Note: I did put gloves on just in case.

I got him in the bottle and let him sit there for a while.. as I had to show my room mate him!  I did go check on him every 10 minutes to make sure he didn't get out!  Here is Bob in his bottle.

This morning we had his forced funeral, as he got flushed down the toilet.  Sadly, Bob will not be missed.
